 RE: 4th Annual Pigeon Lake Pedal…Pushing the Cure for Cancer

  I am pleased to provide a letter of endorsement for the organizers of the 4th Annual Pigeon Lake Pedal…Pushing the Cure for Cancer. This event is a very special bike ride around Pigeon Lake which the whole family can participate in.  This year’s event will take place on Saturday, July 5th and will raise funds for the Alberta Cancer Foundation (ACF) in support of the Cross Cancer Institute, directly benefiting the Patient Financial Needs program.

  The Cross Cancer Institute is one of Canada’s major cancer centers, and a world leader in patient care and cancer research. 

  Patients and families requiring cancer care in northern Alberta have access to the best cancer care available anywhere in the world today, and this is thanks in large part to our donors and supporters of the Alberta Cancer Foundation—the fundraising arm of the Alberta Cancer Board. 100% of the funds raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation stay in Alberta.

  Over $139,000 has been raised since the Pigeon Lake Pedal’s inception three years ago. We applaud the efforts of the volunteer organizers, and are delighted that they are leading the effort in putting together this fabulous event again this year. Any support which you can provide in the way of a cash donation or a prize would be sincerely appreciated.
